Lesson 5---Help people when you are alive,because you will never know when you are going to die.

Dear diary,
This morning when I woke up,I saw a sms message on my handphone.I opened it and was surprised and glad that Mun Bbun told me that my ex-cca of my secondary school,NCC(Sea),was saved.Previously,I wrote a proposal to the Principal of Victoria School(my Secondary School) to appeal for NCC(Sea).I think this must be God's work as I prayed to God last night and asked him to save NCC(Sea).
In the afternoon,I went to www.gprime.net to watch the video clips there.I hope other people will also go to this cool website to watch the funny videos too.I like the man vs bear,the HoppHopp guy who jumped from buildings to buildings,the BlindfoldedPianist etc.I even went to www.theblindfoldedpianist.com to check out on that guy.I was amazed that he is also training for the 2008 Olympics,he can swim 110 laps in 80 minutes;although he said Olympic swimmers swim 400 laps a day.His aim is to be the best pianist in the world.Currently he can play many songs blindfolded or backwards(back facing the piano).As for me,my aim is to be the best guitarist in the world.
After dinner and watching "Happy Fish 2" on Channel 8,I went to the arcade again.I played Marvel VS Capcom and completed the game with one token again.This time I was ranked the first.I chose Sentinel(Projectile Type),Storm(Variety Type) and Cable(Projectile Type).I completed the game using only Sentinel while my Storm and Cable did not even need to come out to be used.Normally,I will do air combos,rocket punches,laser shots,before executing a hyper move like Drone Swarm.There was this Japanese guy at the arcade too,we shared tips on how to thrash the bosses and complete the game with a perfect score.Next,I played Silent Scope 2 and chose the duel mode.Again,I thrashed the opponent with a perfect score in 3 sniping scenarios(Building,Land and Air).Today is just another day which I drew crowds.
When I reached home,I was shocked when my parents told me that close to 100,000 people were killed so far by the Tsunami that hit most parts of South-East Asia,India etc.When my dad saw the news on television,he immediately donated $50 to the victims.Some of my friends even volunteered themselves to pack goods that are to be sent to the affected countries.I was also informed by Mun Bbun on the internet(MSN) that we can
call 19001121227 to donate $50 to the Red Cross Society.Mun Bbun is my true friend who shares the same dream as me.His dad is from Hong Kong,but now his whole family lives in Singapore.Mun Bbun,his brother(Mun Bbill) and his mum are Singaporeans.
I was wondering whether this could be the beginning of the end of the world.At first it was the September 11 attacks.Then came the Taiwan earthquake and China floods.Next is the Iraq War and the Korean Nuclear Crisis.Then the Bali bombings,Madrid bombings and a series of terrorist attacks.After that it was the SARS cases.Following that,came the Nicole Highway incident and the massive blackouts in some parts of Singapore and the United States.Now,it is the Tsunami which is caused by an earthquake in Indonesia.
This is one of the reasons why me and Mun Bbun are working so hard in our respective Junior Colleges and learning new skills.Also,we helped out in numerous community services although we reached the maximum amount of hours.Our main aim is to be successful in life next time so that we can establish a foundation to help people across the globe.We are aiming to ace the "A" levels and go deeper into our subjects in university and after that so as to help many people in need.
Mun Bbun can use his Physics,Geography and Maths to design new coastal structures,study landforms and give early warnings,design devices and emergency gadgets,creating new ways of survival,inventing new stuff etc etc......while I can use my Biology,Chemistry and Maths to create new cures and vaccines for people suffering from illnesses like cancer,develop new first aid technologies,invent quick recovery medicine,research on ways to help disaster victims etc etc.
Ultimately,in future we would call and take in many other volunteers to help in the foundation's cause too.Sometimes,the 2 of us may not be enough.But one thing is for sure,we will do our best till the day we die.Got to go to bed now.Cyaz.

Lesson 4---Dare to be different than other people,that is how you can inspire,make history and help people around the world.

Dear diary,

This morning I woke up to watch the news on television which was featured on Channel NewsAsia.I was saddened by the news that millions of people lost their homes and suffered from the disasters in Colombo,India,Bangladesh,Indonesia,Thailand,Malaysia.Next,I read the newspaper and saw that there are many articles which showed how people are suffering now at these places.I am very sure that the articles are true and there is no propaganda or what because they are not political articles and there is no one to target at(unlike political issues).Also they are reported by many different journalists.Furthermore I am used to helping people,so I know that many of these cases are serious).The news are just plain facts which sometimes Singaporeans like us choose to ignore.(Many people also lost their loved ones due to the Tsunami which is caused by the earthquake at Indonesia).I think we are very fortunate in Singapore as we take many things for granted...I want to stress the word "granted".
In the afternoon,I went to check out the ABRSM piano centre near my place.Then,I went to help my mother in some housework.In the afternoon,I chatted with Mun Bbun on MSN.I am extremely glad today because I realised we shared a common dream.Since I was young,I have been thinking of becoming a successful person one day and instead of using my fame and fortune to do unneccessary things,I would use them to help people around the world.Currently,many people in these countries which I have mentioned have their education disrupted(it is a very bad scenario...remember the SARS case in Singapore when we had to stay at home?)
I thought of using my talents and skills to help people all over the world in future,be it helping them in studies,learning a new skill like kayaking,basic things like how to use a computer(some of them don't even have computers...so you can imagine how fortunate we are)etc...I would be glad if I am able to pass down my skills and knowledge to many people.The smile on their faces and their appreciation makes me very glad.
Yup,me and Mun Bbun made a promise to became successful in life first,and after that we will establish a foundation in order to help people not only in Singapore,but all over the world as well.There are some people who think we are crazy,but I have this to say...if everyone thinks like them,the world would become a very selfish and bad place.Furthermore there are also people who just think of cca hours,thus they said we are crazy to do CIP even after we reach the maximum amount of hours.I think these people are the ones who only think of reaching the "enough" number of hours,that's all,or else why they would have such a mentality?If they are truly helping people from the heart,there are no limits...even after your jc life you still can help people.
Sometimes my parents also think that I am crazy to have such an ambition.....but I have this to say to...if you don't try....who else is going to try?And if you don't try you will never know.I was kind of inspired by David Blaine who goes around inspiring people with his magic tricks(inspiring beggars on the streets by making coins appear from their cups too) and other people featured on Channel NewsAsia and National Geographic and other documentaries.But so far,there isn't any foundation who goes around and help people house to house yet.Most organisations just help people financially,but what Mun Bbun and me want is to go there personally and help people,that is what will make us different from the other foundations in future.
I was also inspired by my mentor Mr Oh(my mother's friend),he helped to solve many cases and after that he became well-known by the lawyers and judges in Singapore...even Lee Kuan Yew and Lee Hsien Loong and almost all politicians in Singapore know him.Once he reached this stage,instead of abusing his fame,he went on and use his fame to help more people.He goes around helping weak students in their studies,helping the Catholic Church solve the carpark problem recently,helped people in China who are trapped in a landslide,helped the poor in Africa.Not only have these inspired him to do more,at the same time he also gained more knowledge and became wiser as he learn and understand many cultures of these people along the way.
I am glad that finally I found someone who shared the same dream as me.You see....when you help people...you will feel happy when you make a difference in their lives.Do not worry when people(esp some people in Singapore) critisise you as one day they will regret it and know that you are right.Even as for those bad people,they will realise their mistakes one day and felt sad...so its good that you can touch their hearts also.I realised that if the foundation really come true,it will be a great joy for me as it is my lifelong ambition and Mun Bbun and me will be the pioneers of such an organization.Even long after I die,I will still be happy when people got inspired and follow our footsteps to continue to help the less fortunate.It will not only become a legend or mark on history,it will also be an everlasting inspiration for everyone.
I live by the code of friendship and also to be different from other people in order to be successful.You see...at first everyone thought that the Wreight Brothers are crazy as they went to the hills and take off in their makeshift "human" airplanes...they wanted to make the world a better place and invent something to benefit people around the world....but no one believed in them as everyone else thought that flying(by creating the plane) is an impossible dream for mankind.But in the end,the Wreight Brothers became pioneers of the modern planes that you see now.You see,if you believe in something,you can do it.
In the evening,I ate dinner at home.Mum's cooking was great.She made fish burger with cheese,cooked rice and curry with potatoes,fried egg and a chicken soup which consists of Kampong chicken and a little wine which my grandma made.My grandma used glutinous rice to make the wine.
At night,I did some homework and watched the television.I watched Top Fun...and after that I watched Channel 5.Next,my brother has to use the computer,so I have to log off now.Cyaz.

Lesson 3---A true friend will not treat you just like an ordinary friend,but more like a family member or a relative.

Dear diary,
today I woke up and ate laksa for breakfast.Then I played a little of counterstrike online and thrash people in the "Heaven"server,"Kindergarten"server and "sgExplorer"server....have been playing with the people there since 2 months ago and established quite a few connections with the clans.I am training on my AK-47 for terrorist and Carbine Assault Rifle for my counter-terrorist as I am better at using assault rifles compared to using sniper rifles.However,I still think the Tactical shield and the AWP should be banned as many people misused them.
Next,I went to Coffee Bean website to subscribe to their newsletters so I can receive their vouchers soon.At 11am,I watched my favourite cartoon---One Piece.Today,Luffy and gang escaped from Little Garden after defeating Mr.5,Miss Wednesday,Mr.3,Miss Golden Week and the Unluckies.I really love Luffy(rubber boy) and his crew(Roronoa Zorro-Master Swordsman,Sanji-Cook who uses only his legs to fight,Nami-She used to be a pickpocket,Usopp-Ace-shooter whose father,Yassof,is the best shooter of the Red-haired Pirates,Miss Queensday-Queen of Alabasta Kingdom).I heard Mr.0,also known as Crocodile is the best fighter in Baroque Works(a Secret organisation).He is one of the King's 7 sea warriors which comprises of(Crocodile-Ability to absorb moisture from sand to create diamond-hard swords,MiHawk-best swordsman in the world whom Zorro is trying to defeat,Batho.Bear,JinBei-The captain of Arlong,Arlong is a sharkman whom Luffy and crew defeated after 6 episodes or so,Doquixite doflamingo-ability to control minds,Captain shanks-best pirate of the world who is also the captain of the red-haired pirates,and another guy whom I forgotten...)Yup...Crocodile betrayed the King secretly and wanted to take over Alabasta...thus he became Mr.0...the lower the number,the more powerful is the person.
In the afternoon,I think of ways to show my friend Audrey how to pocket pool balls in a straight line.Then,I went to do some maths.Next,I practised my guitar and created some new tunes for my outside band,"Broken Wood".After that,Ian smsed me that he saw Victoria school(my SEC SCH).....this brings back good old memories where me and my friends used to play soccer at the rooftop at 5th storey.I am always playing as either right-midfielder(reminds you of Christiano Ronaldo eh?...but I am not that good of course...but still can) or striker...I can play as goalkeeper too.Victoria School is around 7 storey high with lifts...and the hostel is 11 storey if I remember correctly.Last time, after school we normally go Parkway Parade to have lunch with those VJC people.I remember I also used to go VJC eat their $0.50 ice-kacang and $0.50 ice-jelly....superb man.
At night,I went to Cafe Cartel to eat dinner with my family.Saw my Victoria school friend, FangHao, from 4C there.I had pasta with Shitake mushrooms and their Zing chicken wings while my brother had ribs and my dad and mum ate some other nice stuff.....the bread is free though and I saw FangHao kept on going to the bread table having multiple slices of bread each time.After dinner,we went to walk around Tampines Mall and Century Square.There were alot of new shops due to the new "open-concept".There is this Da Vinci shop which reminds me of my fiction book---The Da Vinci Code...its a watch and jewellery shop anyway.I was thinking whether jewellery,stuff toys etc might make good presents next Christmas......
After that,me and my brother went to the arcade.I played Marvel VS Capcom,Japanese Silent Scope and Time Crisis 2(with my brother)...as usual I thrashed the bosses and drew quite a crowd.At around 10pm,I followed my family and walked to the Sogo building where my dad parked his car,then my dad drove us home.
Once I reached home,I went to www.sistic.com.sg to check for any updates on the Nation's Countdown Party 2005.Gtg now.......cyaz...Ciao(meaning goodbye in Italian) :P

Lesson 2---It is hard to find a true friend, it really takes alot of time, but its worth it.

Dear diary,
today is Christmas day and I have been staying at home in the morning watching cartoons.Roadrunner and Coyote is one of my favorites.After that, I listen to the Dashboard Confessionals CD that I bought from Hong Kong.(went to Hong Kong(Lantau Island,Shatin,Kowloon,New Territories),Macau,China(Shanghai and HangZhou)) from the 3-11 of December. Stayed at my overseas friend,Patrick's, house in Hong Kong(Shatin).Oh man...the experience is great...we played playstation,go shopping,go to the Peak,Buddha Statue,sat the MTR,bought Maksim cds,took digital photos.In china,I tried lots of foods too,exotic kinds,special Dragon Well tea which I am still drinking now,xiao long bao...yeah I like the weather there...you can walk non-stop and won't feel tired.Went to Shanghai Tang,beautiful scenery at night...love the city lights and the beautiful and polite girls there...that time i can still recall vividly...with my coat and all...I look damn cool.Went there to visit the head of the Shanghai hospital too as my Mum and Patrick's Mum knew him then we have a dinner with all the hospital heads(in-charge)....special crabs which appear only in December,abalone,shark's fin,lobsters.....but after all its the thought that counts.I also like the roadside food at Shanghai....just marvellous.Those few days I was like living a luxurious life I must say,staying in 5 star hotels everyday,eat restaurant everyday...its like the doctors have too much money and do not know what to spent on.
Ok...back to today...next time I shall tell you more about my travels.By the way in the afternoon,I was busy with Christmas.My family wants me to play some Christmas carols on the piano so I had no choice....currently I can play a bit of piano,although my guitar is much better...my guitar I can play a few songs now (Vindicated by Dashboard Confessionals,Sealed with a Kiss,Can't help falling in love by Elvis Presley,Love Story,Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton,Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton,Romance De Amor part 1 and Part 2,Reality,My Heart Will Go On(Titanic theme song),Jurrassic Park theme song,The Lost World theme song,Guang Huai Fang Shi by Chen HanWei,Some Jay Chou songs,Better Man by Robbie Williams etc).I wouldn't say I am a good guitarist as I still have many many more years to go to be a great guitarist....but I am on the right track.
My family is eating pizza hut later.....my brother's suggestion again......
Now many thoughts are circling in my mind,Mr Kenneth Wee my cca teacher in Victoria school left to Australia to pursue his studies further with his wife,the days I kayaked with the ACJC kayaking team,the days I reach the summit of Mount Ophir and Mount Kinabalu,the many bbqs I had with friends,the time I got talent spotted by MediaCorp last week while rapping on the streets,the new mini DVD player that my dad bought,our old car that is gonna be scrapped next year and my dad is buying a new car,and that day I saw my friend,Irshad, breakdancing at Esplanade with his crew...my God...his breakdance skills improve tremendously.....since sec 2 in victoria school,everytime during P.E. lessons while everyone is playing soccer and basketball,he will breakdance at one corner...bet he can do a head spin now(he is now in Temasek Poly design school)....I was just wondering if his breakdance crew could combine with my outside band(Broken Wood which comprises of Herald-Electric/Acoustic Guitarist,Raymond-Acoustic Guitarist,Me-Classical/Electric Guitarist,Drummer,Bassist,Pianist),we can kick Linkin Park's asses soon...
I am also glad that now I can complete a few games at the Tampines Mall and Century square arcade.....I will go there if I go out alone sometimes(maybe I will play arcade before I watch a movie)....hey alot of my friends also go out on their own when they need some "me time".Now I can complete Time Crisis 2,Marvel Versus Capcom 2,Ocean Hunter,Japanese Silent Scope,Spawn with just one token...so normally I can draw crowds easily...esp Time Crisis 2...I used it as a way to teach young kids at the arcade how to thrash the bosses so that they got more confidence in life...you see if you can overcome something as hard as that,you will feel more confident in whatever you do in future because at least you overcomed a hard obstacle and have a talent to be proud of although I told them not to play too often....I only adviced them to play at most once a week.

Lesson 1---A true friend will stay by you through all your troubles.

Dear diary,
today I wrote to you as I have many things in mind......yep...its Christmas eve and while most people either stay home or go to the buzzling city to witness the lights.i chose and went to one of my old friend,Mun Bbun's condo at Tanamera Crest just now...it was cool....I like the ambience and the people there as in I am quite close to his family though I have many more years in the journey of friendship with him.As I went to his house just now to celebrate Christmas Eve...many thoughts flashed across my mind....remembering the 4 yrs we spent in Victoria school...the countless times I go to his previous house at Hougang to play Worms Armageddon(computer game)...do project work....sometimes go jogging around his park etc....playing with both of his cats.....and also the times we went kayaking together....Mount Ophir,Kayaking round singapore in 4 days,Specialist course,FFDC,sailing,sea competitions,school camps,camp instructor,many times hanging out at SAF yaucht CLub....also studied together,train pull ups together,etc.....yup...he is indeed one true friend that I would keep till I leave this world.....
He is currently studying in VJC while I am in ACJC.....but we hope to meet each other in NS or OCS.....guess what?...my friend MUn Bbun is taking 2 s-papers next year and he went for lots of cool CIP trips like Thailand trips,Australia and took lots of cool photos etc...also organised a trip to Sungei Buloh(Camp)....and whats more he is in VJ kayaking cca and also a senior CLT now(just got promoted)...tts cool.....I am only in photography society as I wanna get away from all the politics since I entered jc....btw his brother Mun Bbill(also from VJC) says 90% of his batch(JC batch) entered OCS....tts cool lor.....anyway heard that his bro is learning driving soon...thats gd...
Yup....at around 10.30pm,Mun Bbun see me off around Tanah Merah Mrt....just gave him a latest Linkin Park CD...hope he like it....anyway what I really think is that is the thought that counts...nothing else....even if the person never buy anything...but let you come over his house have party etc...its more than enough...tt makes mun bbun my true friend....and i also love the prawns and chicken wings at the bbq...they rocks! Its the best bbq chicken I ever tasted plus the stingray is nice. Today I learnt one lesson from him....you can have a lot of good friends...but a true friend will not only help you...but will go through thick and thin with you...
Yup...when I reach tampines I played Time Crisis 2.....as usual I completed the game with one token and thrashed the bosses upside down while drawing a small crowd to look.....I went home at 11 plus....caught the late bus home..went I reached home...my brother was playing half-life 2...so I need to wait for my turn to use the computer...anyway NKF sent me a christmas card as I helped them as a volunteer since year 2000,also I received cards from Caroline,Charlotte,Herald,Nicole,Reina,Brian,Zhan Xiong,Mr Oh,June...anyway I think the main thing about christmas is friendship,family,relatives and most of all remember the reason for the season!!!give and share etc...yup...gtg now to update my computer...till next time! And yea...the new year resolutions....:P
